#Eurovision 2017: Statement released regarding tickets sale postponement

The European Broadcasting Union has released a statement regarding the recent postponement of ticket sales along with the latest updates.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that ticket sales for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest had been postponed until further notice following a complaint submissions from other tender applicants. The decision was taken by the Antimonopoly Committee.

Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, Jon Ola Sand, released a statement regarding the delay:

We are disappointed with the delay to the start of ticket sales for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, but are working closely with Host Broadcaster UA:PBC to resolve this situation. The EBU recognises that any tender process needs to be transparent and fair, and hope that tickets can go on sale at the earliest possible opportunity.

More details regarding the release of ticket sales are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 9, 11 and 13 May at the International Exhibition Centre in the host city of Kyiv, Ukraine.
